How do you write a book proposal?

How do you write a book proposal?

The three questions your proposal needs to answer

1. Is the idea good? Show why you are uniquely qualified. Let them know that this hasn’t been written about before and communicate exactly why this story has to be told.

2. Can this person write? Publishers don’t want to spend a lot of time, energy and money on someone that is a one hit wonder. One way to show this won’t be the case with you is to share the book outline and sample chapters. Let them know that you can write and you are in it for the long haul.

3. Who is going to buy it? Having a platform is important. Showing them you have blog readers, Twitter followers and Facebook fans goes a long way to reassuring them that people will buy the book
