Sometimes the megachurch vocabulary is a little offputting. Alter=stage, pastor=worship leader, Sunday school=small group. I think what they are trying to do is make it more like the rest of society by taking away all the words that are unique to churchs. Make it less churchy and then it's less itimidating, perhaps. I don't know. Anyone have insight into this?
