while this is too late for the competition I realise...
I thought of a potential topic for '10 and wanted to share it anyway..

something along the lines of... 'Listening to U2 (and possibly ColdPlay) and then telling people how you're really into secular music'.... when quized about 'other' secular bands you're into, pausing for a while before answering... Switchfoot.

You know it's true.

I LOVE SCL.

I would love to see more posts about the funny things your daughters say! :)

Also... I was wondering about the whole word comment that some people leave on their comments. It seems like they are making up definitions for fake words? I want to know more :)

Also, I know you are probably working on it, but it would be neat to click on words that you have tagged posts as and see all the posts about youth groups, prayer, culture...

Thanks for doing amazing work Jon!

New reader here thanks to Greg S. and btw I would luv luv luv to win his CD!
I have just immersed myself in this site for more than 2 hours and can't get enuf!
Jon, you have some great work here and a great following!
It's funny, thought provoking and affirms my faith.
I suppose if you haven't covered it already, you could have more of the 'I'm in the world but not of the world' . Many of us are surrounded daily by non-believers, family included. Our church life (Sabaths, weekday bible studies, group events, etc) seem like a brief respite in our everyday lives. How do people cope? There is so much you can write about on that.
Hmmm... keep it up, friend!

I like the idea of Stuff Christians don't like... could be interesting. The comment of the Amish romance novels is hilarious. Recently a group of us found a box of Christian romance novels that were being given away at our church and we were practically rolling around on the floor after reading some of the backs (my apologies to those who are into Christian romance) and one guy took one home for his wife. He said he was going to read it to her (I think he really just wanted to know what was going to happen). I also wanted to say that whoever wins the Greg Sczebel albums will be really lucky!! I have one myself and love his stuff, he's got some super fun tunes and a great voice.

I think more posts about the "hidden underbelly" of the church. I haven't seen one yet on the hospitality volunteers... trust me, there are no bootleg cookies without them.

I would love to see a post/series of posts about the Evangelical cultural love for being "safe" or "harmless" with our culture.

Just came on to the site. I know a lot of people who are single at church and at the moment would not have it any other way. I also am single at church but for different reasons.... my 2 kids (teen and pre-teen) are both Christian but my husband refuses to come with us. I keep praying that he will eventually see the light through me or one of the kids. It has not happened yet, but I have faith that one day it will.

This is a great site - lots of interesting bites of interesting topics. Being singe (or divorced - gasp!) in the church is really tough and so it would be interesting to cover more of that - or to handle divorce within the church context (but, of course, it may NOT be something that Christians like so...) But otherwise - cool site - thanks!
