I'd wondered about what they were trying to say with the chinese characters but thought it must have been something my terrible chinese reading skills were causing me to miss.

Hi, Jonathan; I'm a 2nd generation Chinese-American doing college ministry in the northeast via a partnership between the Navigators and the United Methodist Church. Just earlier this morning, I was reading through some blogs about this book that you're giving away. For several reasons, it's intensely offensive to Asian-Americans, both Christian and non-Christian, and I would strongly suggest that you take a look at some of the discussion (for example, here or here) and think about how to move forward with this. Situations such as this can be incredible opportunities to extend mutual grace and humility; or they can be intensely divisive reminders of an ethnically imperialistic and oppressive past. I'd love for you guys to join the discussion on this one.
