My old church bought an old lumber mill. We built a sanctuary using less than a third of the space. There was a path of plywood that led to a room on the other side of the mill where Children’s Church was. We were planning on building a skate park in the loading dock.

Recently I went to Easter Service with Mars Hill at Qwest Field in Seattle. They had a bunch of small heated pools (looked like hot tubs) on the field for baptisms.

Our church used to be in an old bar where I’m pretty sure drugs were used and sold. Now it’s in an old kindergarden school. Very practical I think but when I got married we had the wedding at a different church… so that we didn’t have to say our vows under basketball nets

Chuck I see your point. However I think God is more concerned with us going all out for him with our lives rather than our church buildings……. Just a thought

Also one in Nebraska, didn't know they had them other places. I think the one here is usually held at the sale barn or the rodeo, sometimes out in the country.

At one point, I went to a church that was renting the chapel in a local cemetery…and had to endure jokes about how "dead" our church was.
