Yeah, I went to a Hillsong concert in February and there were some Jesus screamers there. I’m never sure how to take them…on the one hand it was amazing to hear the room murmuring with people calling on Jesus’ name. On the other hand, the Jesus chanters tried to start it during every song interlude for awhile and cynical me couldn’t tell if they were worshipping God or using it for attention.

Want to hear the best Jesus scream(s) ever recorded? Look up “Salvation” from the Passion “One Day Live” cd. Whoever the female backup vocalist is keeps doing it, as well as Charlie Hall letting out one at the end of the song that I think they heard in Zimbabwe.

See, when I read this post I knew some of the comments would either be from people very delighted by the humor in it, or very offended because they are a screamer. And hey, I my not a scream at concerts or worship meeting, but I deffinetly dance. A LOT. and very unashamedly might I add. And of course some people think its weired, buy I keep doing what the J-Man tells me to do. I personally found this post hilarious! But were it about “that girl who dances in church, even in morning services, not just at the hip, younger, evening service.” Well I don’t know if I would like it. Probably depends on how much sarcasm is in it.

You're killing me. What is the deal? I don't have a problem with someone yellin out, "Jesus"! Or anything else other than, "I want my money back!" Mabye because I've done it too – at church no less. Please forgive us "Jesus Screamers" for ruining your quiet time at the concert or at church. My bad, man, my bad.

Wow. So, it's over spiritual to yell out, "Jesus" at a Christian concert. A concert that is for Christians singing songs about, Jesus. Are you of the persuasion that concerts should be quite events? No one should be yelling, or it's just that no one should yell "Jesus"? Or, it's better to just yell unintelligibly – and I should ask, since I can't presume as well as you what God/Jesus think or feel, Jesus likes either no yelling, or unintelligible yelling better, or best? I wish I knew the preferences of God the way you do. You should change your blog to: Stuff god likes and doesn't like or in other words: Stuff Jon likes and doesn't like…
