That for once, you won’t have to listen to a so-”static-y”-that-it-gives-you-a-headache episode of “Unshackled” as you travel across Nebraska with your dad, who listens ONLY to old-timey Christian radio.

Oh, and that you won’t be stuck on a long ride with someone who makes “conversation” by reading every sign on the road.

definitely the beef jerky one!!! we can’t road trip without it.

and the paper mill one happened to us one time. only we thought my brother had gas and blamed it on him for the next hundred miles until the crushing nausea passed. that was also the trip that my tiny baby 7 year old cousin stole the breakfast sausage off of everyone’s plate and then waited approximately 2 miles down the road to throw up everywhere and on everyone

that you don’t cut yourself on a really sharp pocket knife you found at the rest stop on the way home from one of the crappiest trips so far in your life. yeah that day sucked.

that nobody gets sick, that I don’t decide to drive both to and from the destination when I don’t have to, that the gas station will have my brand of energy drink, that if i fall asleep in the car that i am not horribly confused when i wake up, that any children who may be on the trip do not decide to see if everybody else loves the sound of their shrieking.
