I wonder if I can post a suggestion for “Stuff Christians Like” here rather than emailing because I’m too lazy to email you.
(I’m also to lazy to check through your entire blog right now, maybe you’ve already covered this. But maybe we can just say it’s not that I’m too lazy, it’s really that I’m trying to ration out your wit and humor so that I don’t run through it all at once.)
Anyhow:
My addition to Stuff Christians Like:
Christians like to take something that worked as secular art, do a poor imitation, throw Jesus’ name in it, and feel much better about supporting it.
Examples:
Every genre of music… ever! When secular heavy metal was big, Christian heavy-metalers tried to steal there shtick. When secular rap was big all these knuckleheads rhymed “Jesus” with “Please us.” When secular ska was big all these Christian bands found horn sections…
Games… Does Bible pictionary really deepen anybodies walk with Christ? Are those silly Christian trading card games/magic rip-offs really glorifying to our creater? Do we really need a computerized first person shooter set in Revelations?
(We’ll leave your blog off this list… Becuase unlike all of the above, all kidding aside, it’s done well and not a mediocre knock off.)
