When I was a kid. if I came home from school and my mom wasn't home yet, I would worry that the rapture had happened and I'd been left behind. So I would turn on the Christian radio station, and if the DJ was still there, I knew I was cool.

I had a youth pastor who once confessed to us the same fear in the same scenario. He used to call his church and hang up, reassured, if the pastor answered the phone. He wouldn't talk to the pastor, just call and hang up. I still get a kick out of wondering what that pastor must have thinking.

Amen! I think a lot of times this happens because we try to think of God reacting like *we* would.

Haha! I wonder the same thing sometimes when I can't find my husband around the house. He usually ends up being in the garage.

I'm with the guy saying that he doesn't believe in the rapture, nor does he not believe in it. I was raised to believe in it, but it's one of those things that doesn't need to be a point of contention between me and other believers.
I try and be prepared for both, not saying I've got it figured out, but the opposite. I hold to this because I do not have it figured out. . Believing truth comes completely outside oneself makes being prepared for both easy. It doesn't matter if I believe in it or not...it'll either happen or not when it does or doesn't. If that makes any sense...
I am prepared if I'm here, the rapture doesn't happen, and the end of the world as we see it begins. If that is the case, I know where I stand, and where my God is. My faith remains unshaken.
If it does happen, what is there to be angry about? Nothing. "Oh crap, I'm caught up in the sky with JESUS." I don't think anyone would say that.

I just hope no one's faith would be shaken no matter what happens, especially if the rapture doesn't come. For in at that moment it would be the most important time to have an unshakable faith.
But hey, the rapture would be wonderful if it is true!
