I don’t listen to any kind of radio much anymore, because all stations (regardless of format), tend to burn out whatever is on their playlist. I do listen to the radio once in a while–but for the most part, give me YouTube, Pandora, cd’s, audio books…and sometimes just plain ol’ quiet.

Awwww man and AMEN brother. The Christian station around where I live ( Pennsylvania) is SO played out- they should call it “24/7 Chris Tomlin”. Its the same songs, over and over, all dudes singing, very very frustrating when I know there is a wealth of great Christian music including female bands and artists that they seem to have no clue exist. They even send me online surveys and I only wish there was a way to include comments, although for fear of possible use of not-so-friendly vocab, perhaps its best a survey is NOT included. BLAND88.9- all the same 5 songs comin at you non-stop round the clock!!!! Oh, if you read this, your book Stuff Christians Like is a riot! I read it in two sittings, couldnt put it down. You MIGHT be the first Christian author to host SNL- funnier than what I see on there lately!!!! If I were in your presence, I’d give you a side to side hug, intertwine fingers and tell you my thoughts and prayers are with you. What a delight to meet another Christian with a wild sense of humor- so refreshing, thought I was the only one…Best to you and your careet…..

I can’t stand it when a Christian radio station claims to be “family friendly” (in other words, your kids can listen to it), and then they play recorded talk shows with adult themes: A guy addicted to porn and the struggles he and his wife have had in their marriage as a result, a woman who had an affair with her boss and she’s struggling in her marriage, a kid addicted to drugs, a soldier who lost 2 limbs in Iraq, a man with a gambling addiction, etc.

Jesus loves the big grown-ups just as much as he loves the little children, so this movement to make “family-friendly”, “positive”, and “encouraging” synonymous with “Christian” drives me out of my mind.

For this reason, I LOVE the movie “Fireproof.” That is most definitely NOT a kid’s movie. And if you show that movie to your children, you’re crazy.
