Ahahaha, oh, that song. They used to play it 24/7 on Christian radio. It's so sappy it rots your teeth.
and now it's stuck in my head.

Your food comparison is making me hungry. imho there's no such thing as too much cheese--the kind you eat, that is.

Oh man...my sister and I did this at Ridgecrest in NC back in the mid-80's. I'd play the piano and sing the harmony and she'd sing the main part. This WAS a major last-night-say-goodbye-everybody-cry song. Great stuff!

I know this post has been archived, but I just heard 'Friends' for the first time (I'm English with no Christian camp history). That is cheesier than a slab of Cheddar, wrapped in swiss, spread with brie and then dipped in cheese sauce. How do you live! I feel violated, and slightly cheesy.

My friend Rachel put together a friends slideshow to this song when I moved in the 8th grade. Then she bought me the tape. I really wanted Ace of Base instead.

My very first day in the "dorms" at the camp I was working at, I heard a very strange song coming from another room (I was the only newb in the dorm). Cue the eerie music as I peeked out my room, crossed the hall and entered the room with the weird music. There were about 7 girls all in a huddle and swaying back and forth to That Song. It was then I knew I had made a mistake, and I was NOT made for camp.

That is so much better than Kumbaya! That song has been offered up and/or sang at nearly ever campfire (or campfire-ish) gathering I've attended, which is why I hate that song! Love Michale W. Smith!
