Hahaha, this is so true. We had generic chocolate striped cookies, which were pretty ok, but the Sunday School teachers always said that the stripes were supposed to represent Jesus’ beating. Not the kind of thing that makes you feel like eating.

church is the only reason why i know tuxedos and hydrox exist. there’s also some non-descript red viscous concentrate that gets turned into “church punch” that is essential to every function, especially kids ministry functions (sometimes Tang)

My VBS made us eat ripped up pita, that we paid for in fake coins. And we had to bring our own water cup from home which our VBS leaders tied around our waist with a rope so we wouldn’t lose it. They said it was to make us feel like we were living in the Bible times. Cheapskates.

Ha! My church has a dinner after the evening service every other week, and we always always always serve off-brand oreos. They are my favorite part of the meal. I sneak glances at them throughout the sermon and jump into line early lest an unexpected rush leave me cookie-less. I don’t care if they ARE knock-offs; I’m not proud when it comes to dessert.

We had butter cookies shaped like flowers. I used to put one on each finger before I ate them. We also had watered down grape kool aid. I still hate kool aid.
