Lol–I saw so many “God’s Gym” t-shirts before I ever heard of Gold’s Gym–didn’t realize at first that “God’s Gym” was one of those imitation brand names that Christian t-shirt manufacturers are so fond of! (whoops–I just ended a sentence with a preposition; sorry about that *lol*)

don't miss the principle that doing something derivative ironically raises the "relevance" by an order of magnitude. It's difficult to believe that the Adidas derived graphics is not ironic, as in "Add Jesus, and a cup of cold water, mix well". But it probably wasn't. this illustrates the next highest level of ironicalness (-ism?): Using something derivative AS IF it was originally intended to be ironic, while subtly making it clear that you know it wasn't. The problem with that is that only your "metro-sexual worship leader" will get it.

BTW, how will I know when being ironic is no longer cool? Well, I was just being ironic ironically, anyway.

#1 I would say is giving credit to god for other people's achievements
